NSW: Police search for two escapees from Parklea Prison
Two men have broken out of a maximum security prison in Sydney and commandeered a car
from a terrified woman.
Police say the men escaped from western Parklea Prison while awaiting court appearances
for robbery offences.
They say the pair approached a woman in Kellyville this morning asking to be driven
to Blacktown railway station.
When she refused they approached another woman, who was frightened into handing over
the keys to her car -- and the pair then escaped towards Blacktown.
Police say the first man is of European appearance, age 26, 177cm tall, of medium build
with black hair, green eyes and heavy tattoos.
The second man is also of European appearance, age 24, 190cm tall, of solid build with
black hair and brown eyes.
Both were wearing prison greens -- and escaped in a 1988 red Toyota Camry, registration
number PJK 474.
Anyone with information should contact Quakers Hill police on 9678 8999 or Crime Stoppers
on 1800 333 000.
