CNNRadio Expands Affiliate Services

Westwood One and CNN Newsource Sales have announced a renewal of Westwood One's exclusive English language distribution of CNNRadio programming to radio stations in the U.S. through 2005. The five-year agreement provides for Westwood One's continuing syndication of the CNNRadio Network, which is the most widely distributed news radio network in North America. Additional audio programming covered within the distribution agreement includes CNN Headline News, Larry King Live and Last Night on Larry King. CNNRadio will also expand its news team and provide enhanced technical capabilities for its affiliates.

CNNRadio's technological upgrades will include on-demand news cuts delivered via the Internet and a new voice cue system that will allow CNNRadio to communicate more effectively with radio newsrooms. CNNRadio will also provide Westwood One with annual year-end specials, special programming focused on breaking news and more custom reports.
